Everybody wants to get it right
But nobody likes to make a sacrifice
Living the way they want within the lines
I was the same ‘till yesterday
Playing by my rules, going my own way
Living a good life
Until You shined Your light on everything inside
All this selfishness and pride
Now I know that I can’t hide from You
But You said if I will go where You lead me I will know
Your ways, Your truth and Your life

You’ve got what I want so I won’t stop until I’ve got it
You know what I need so I won’t leave Your side,
Your truth is breaking all my rules, no doubt about it
And I like leaving that old me behind

Give me just a second to clarify
I thought I was good but I was so blinded by
All the lies I wanted to believe
Then You came to me with a better way
You showed me Your love, gave me Your grace
And now I see life in a different light
If I wanna be the first, then I’ve gotta be the last
And If I’ve given it all to You, then You wipe away my past
If I lean on what You say you will be my strength each day
Now I’m watching as You wash my sins away
