You Rocked the Vote!!
(May 1/2008)

Thanks to all your tireless voting and constant clicking of that mouse, we are excited to share that Greg has won the second round (the Lennon Award) in the Gospel category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest! He now goes on to compete with winners from the 11 other genres for the title of 'Maxell Song of the Year', which will be announced in July. For more info on the contest visit www.jlsc.com.

Here's what Greg had to say about the recent win: "I was so stoked to find out last night that Homeland made it into the 2nd round of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. This was ONLY possible because of your amazing support (since it was based solely on fan votes). So, a huge THANK YOU to you, my friends, for all for your love. I can feel it and it feels good!"

In other news, Greg's same song, "Homeland" came in 3rd place in the International Songwriting Competition. Thanks for your support!

Greg Needs Your Help!
(March 31/2008)

Greg's song "Homeland" was recently named a Grand Prize Winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. And now it goes on to the voting round where it's up to YOU to decide if "Homeland" could be the "Maxell Song of the Year."

There has been a little bit of confusion about this second contest/voting round as some of you thought Greg won the International Songwriting Contest that you had voted in last month (thanks again!). The winners of that contest aren't announced until April and the John Lennon Songwriting Contest is a completely separate one.

Now here's where you come in. This round of the John Lennon Contest is totally based on your votes, and if the song wins, it could win the title of"Maxell Song of the Year". So if you're a fan of the music, and especially this song, we would sure appreciate your help once again!

Since so many of you voted faithfully for Greg in the last contest, we want to make it extra easy on you. Here's all you have to do:

1. Follow this link: www.JLSC.com/Vote.php

2. Vote for "Homeland" once - if you're voting for the first time, you will be told to check your email for a confirmation message (*note: it may be in the junk mail folder)

3. Email info@gregsczebel.com   with your email address and date of birth.

4. We'll take it from there, making sure your vote is submitted every day until voting ends on April 26th. And that's it.

Thanks SO much for your support!

Greg's Song Wins in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition!
(March 05/2008)

We've just received word that Greg's song "Homeland" was named the Grand Prize Winner in the Gospel Category of the John Lennon Songwriting Competition! Regarding his win Greg said, "It's such a huge honor. The competition is highly respected among songwriters and this song is really special to me. It was one of those ones that almost seemed to write itself."

"Homeland" was written by Greg while a close friend and his family shared their last hours together with their father and husband. Despite a long and courageous battle with cancer, he finally reached his "Homeland."

The award-winning song, which will release on Sczebel's upcoming sophomore album, is also currently a finalist in the International Songwriting Contest, which will announce winners in April 2008.
